i dont think they would get u cell phone NOWW!but u can get it if u try to make them trust u like take responsibilities. but u can probably get u a laptop just say that i get lots of homework and i need a laptop so i can do it in my room without bothering u!

On the cell phone: Explain to them that this will help you gain responsibility, and that it will also help ensure safety for both you and them. If you ever need to get ahold of them, or there is a family emergency you are only a phone call away. Explain to them that you will not only use it for social reasons, but for personal protection.
Their only thing agains this is your age, which I can understand. Now on the laptop, most likely that isn’t an option, you obviously have internet access because you’re asking this question. I didn’t get a laptop until I graduated from high school, and was getting ready to move off to college. From what I understand it’s this way for most people unless they buy it with their own money.
Good luck on the cell phone though.

OMG thats the way I feel too!!! I dont have either but i want them too… especially the laptop. My parents obviously won’t but them for me so I’m trying to save up… Maybe you should ask for the cell phone first since its the least expensive… just tell your parents that since you’re entering the pre-teen stage you wont stay at home as often and you need some kind of communication to stay in touch [and you wont earn brownie points for using a pay phone or a friend's phone...] its much easier that you have your own. And for the laptop… maybe you should try for when you’re 11… because since us as pre-teens dont have jobs there is no need for us posess such high-tech gear. Maybe you should tell your parents the same thing for the cell phone… I personally am a tech hog and I just think its easier having my own equiptment.
